Human Resources GroupGrade 5 (£25,980 - £29,877 per annum)Permanent37 hours per weekWe have an exciting opportunity for a Senior Payroll Assistant to join the Payroll Team at Huddersfield University. This role with will serve a key function in the processing of the main University payroll, ensuring the accurate and timely salary payments for2,000 members of staff.You will play a pivotal part in supporting the Payroll Team Leader in the effective delivery of the monthly payroll. You will be processing all starter and leaver documentation, contractual changes, amending staff records using the integrated HR and Payrollsystem, ensuring compliance with statutory regulations whilst at the same time providing excellent customer service.You will have significant payroll administrative experience in a similar environment and be able to demonstrate working knowledge of Pay As You Earn regulations, and statutory regulations, whilst ensuring confidentiality of personal data and GDPR compliance.You will have GCSEs in English and Maths at Grade C/4 or above, or equivalent, and excellent IT skills, including Microsoft Word, Outlook, Teams and Excel.We offer an excellent employment package including hybrid working, blending a mix of remote and on-campus working (dependent on work duties).The University is deeply committed to equality and diversity for all its students and staff.
