Job Description

Our client, an innovative property management group based in Ilford, Essex, seeks a Financial Controller to run its finance function on a day to day basis. Reporting to the board, the successful candidate will be an instrumental part of the management teamadvising the Directors and Operations from a finance perspective.Duties will include:Managing Finance and Accounting Operations:

Preparing monthly management accounts for all group companies.
Coordinating and directing the preparation of budgets and financial forecasts.
Financial reporting to the board.
Day to day management of finance team.
Liaison with external advisers.

Internal Controls and Compliance:

Maintaining internal controls over financial reporting.
Review systems processes and controls in order to make improvements
Ensuring compliance with reporting requirements and tax filings including corporation tax, PAYE and VAT.

Additional Duties:Supporting month-end and year-end close processes.Developing and documenting business processes and accounting policies to strengthen internal controls.Requirements and Skills:

Proven working experience as a Financial Controller.
5+ years of overall combined accounting and finance experience.
Thorough knowledge of accounting principles and procedures.
