Business Development ManagerUK Wide (Location Flexible)£55,000 - £65,000 + Commission & Car AllowanceMonday – Friday, 09:00 – 17:30 (Remote Working)Are you a driven and experienced Business Development Manager looking for an exciting opportunity in the freight forwarding industry Look no further! We are currently seeking a dynamic individual to join our client, a global shipping and logistics company,as their Business Development Manager.Company Overview:Our client is one of Northern Europe’s largest logistics company, specializing in customs, domestic, and international freight service. With a towering presence in the market, they provide reliable and efficient logistics solutions to a diverse range ofindustries.Role Overview:As the Business Development Manager, you will play a crucial role in expanding our clients customer base, driving revenue growth, and maximizing market share. Your primary focus will be on identifying and securing new business opportunities, nurturing existingclient relationships, and promoting the companys services to potential customers. You’ll be working alongside inside sales to deal with a lot of the cold calling.Benefits:-

Responsibilities:
  • Develop and execute strategic sales plans to achieve business objectives and targets.
  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities, proactively generating leads and conducting market research.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with existing clients, ensuring their satisfaction and identifying opportunities for upselling and cross-selling.
  • Collaborate with the operations team to develop tailored logistics solutions for customers, ensuring efficient and cost-effective service delivery.
  • Prepare and deliver persuasive sales presentations and proposals to potential clients.
  • Monitor industry trends and competitors activities to stay informed about market developments and identify areas for growth.
  • Collaborate with internal teams, including operations, customer service, and finance, to ensure smooth onboarding of new clients and successful execution of contracts.
  • Attend industry conferences, trade shows, and networking events to expand professional network and promote the companys brand.
Requirements:
  • Proven track record in business development within the freight forwarding or logistics industry, with a focus on the UK and domestic markets.
  • Strong understanding of customs procedures, domestic and international freight services, and knowledge of the UK and domestic transportation industry.
  • Excellent negotiation, communication, and presentation skills, with the ability to engage and influence key stakeholders.
  • Self-motivated and target-driven, with a proactive approach to identifying and pursuing new business opportunities.
  • Ability to build and maintain strong client relationships, providing exceptional customer service and support.
  • Results-oriented mindset, with a proven ability to meet and exceed sales targets.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to develop innovative solutions for clients.
  • Flexibility to travel as required to meet with clients and attend industry events.
  • Valid driving license.
