Job Description

Are you an experienced Neighbourhood Officer looking for your next exciting contractOpus People Solutions on behalf of Babergh and Mid Suffolk District Councils are looking for a Neighbourhood Officer to join the team for an initial 3-month contract.As a Neighbourhood Officer your role will include:

Providing an effective proactive neighbourhood management service
Being responsible for the management of communal spaces, facilities and HRA land within Babergh and Mid Suffolk Districts with a focus on the health, safety and the welfare of residents
Supporting colleagues within the Housing Service to provide excellent customer service, resolve complaints and develop service improvements based on customer feedback.
Working collaboratively with other teams to ensure housing communities remain places where people want to live and lead healthy and independent lives
Be a visible presence in our neighbourhoods and communities identifiable and recognisable by residents.
Managing your own diary and caseloads

The successful candidate must:

Be able to hit the ground running
Have solid experience of working in a relevant specialist area which could include housing, estate management or community work
Have a flexible approach to the role and pick up work outside of one’s own specialism
Be committed to providing a high level of customer service
Have excellent communication skills, written and verbal.
