Job Description

This is an exciting time to be joining the data team...OverviewAs part of a growing team defining and developing data solutions. We are helping to shape the future of a FTSE 100 company. We are developing a next generation Automated Valuation Model (AVM) and are looking for a talented Data Scientist to strength ourMachine Learning (ML), analysis, modelling and data processing capabilities. On this high profile project your contributions will be highly visible and your input valued.Responsibilities:

  • Utilize existing methodologies to build a house price indices.
  • Collaborate with the Principal Data Scientist to improve valuation performance in niche geographic areas
  • Contribute to the advancement of the underlying AVM models.
  • Produce new and innovative valuation models and techniques utilising millions of unique data points
  • Analysis of model results and reporting to stakeholders.
Skills Required:
  • Great communication skills both verbal and written.
  • Experience working within an SME or small dynamic teams.
  • A "can do" attitude and willingness to help other members of the team
  • Working under pressure and to agreed deadlines.
Essential:
  • Experience as a data scientist (+2 years minimum).
  • Understanding of machine learning techniques and algorithms.
  • Ability to analyse, process and interpret large amounts of data.
  • Experience with PostgreSQL.
  • Strong Python skills.
Desirable:
  • Experience working with property data - desirable.
  • Geospatial experience - desirable.
  • Text manipulation and extraction techniques - desirable.
