Job Description

Procurement ManagerCertain Advantage are recruiting on behalf of an ecommerce business for a Procurement Manager in Leeds. This is a permanent position requiring you to be onsite 3 days per week.The RoleWorking closely with Finance you will be responsible for developing procurement strategy and processes, so this is a great opportunity to help shape the future of this exciting business!As Procurement Manager you will create and deliver an effective procurement strategy. This isnt just about reducing cost, however you will be expected to achieve savings through negotiation and vendor management.Youll develop and maintain relationships with suppliers as well as introduce performance metrics and be responsible for addressing any performance issues as they come up.Some more immediate activities will include supporting the implementation of a new purchasing system and assess the current processes to identify improvement opportunities.Longer term youll negotiate new contracts and be able to demonstrate the cost savings and efficiencies youve brought to the business.What were looking for in a candidate

  • Ideally experience in the eCommerce industry.
  • Ideally youll hold some form of professional certification in procurement or supply chain management.
  • Experience in developing and implementing procurement strategies.
  • Strong negotiation skills and the ability to secure favourable terms.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Knowledge of procurement software and tools.
  • Deadline driven with the ability to manage multiple projects concurrently.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong understanding of supply chain management.
Even better if youll also be able to offer;
  • Familiarity with sustainable procurement practices.
  • Previous experience in a start-up or fast-growing company environment.
