Job Description

We hired 23,000 colleagues during COVID, do you want to join a team that is feeding the nationAbout the RoleReporting to the Senior Manager, Talent Acquisition, youll be a key Business Partner advising Retail and Logistics on best recruitment practice. Youll drive forward our attraction plans across Retail and Logistics by working with key senior stakeholders and the wider Talent Acquisition team to execute timely, impactful, ‘on brand solutions which support the business strategy and deliver operational goals.You will be responsible for:

  • Developing recruitment strategies across retail and logistics that help us tackle issues like; whats our HGV driver recruitment strategy post Brexit How do we attract the store colleague of the future How do we fulfil our demand for Home Shopping Delivery Drivers as online shopping shows no sign of slowing down, and importantly how do we deal with the ongoing challenge of Covid19
  • Delivering on a range of projects from the impact of Brexit and IR35 to retail assessment & selection as well as our seasonal recruitment strategy. Coupled with managing ongoing development of recruitment policies and training including educating managers and mitigating risks with our compliance team.
  • Strategic and operational management of our neutral vend non-permanent partner which includes contractual negotiations, management of agency worker compliance and management of performance through monthly and quarterly reviews.
  • About YouYoull be a leader from a strategic operations and/or project management background with some recruitment experience rather a traditional recruiter. You will be an individual who brings fresh thinking to improve the end to end candidate experience, but you wont just be about the strategy, youll be the sort of person who gets stuck in and delivers. The ability to keep calm under pressure and thrive within a complex, fast-paced and ambiguous environment is essential. Your experience will include:
  • A successful track record of overseeing high volume recruitment within an operational environment (Retail or Logistics preferred), and the ability to support the overall strategy whilst also being able to get stuck into the detail of day to day operational challenges.
  • You are self-motivated with exceptional organisational and communication skills.
  • Good knowledge of employment law particularly relating to AWR and IR35.
  • Experience of reviewing an end to end recruitment process across a complex business and identifying improvement opportunities.
