Job Description

Are you an experienced vendor manager within the finance sectorDo you have knowledge implementing and harnessing digital customer communicationsAt Santander UK, we are looking for a Service Manager - Vendor Management to join our team in Leicester.Location: LeicesterSalary: £33,550-£44,000 per annumContract: Permanent, Full TimeWhy apply for this roleAs a Service Manager in Vendor Management, you will acts as an individual contributor, using specialist vendor management knowledge and a sound understanding of how the function serves business stakeholders to maintain commercially viable services for the business. You will work closely with other members of the team across all levels to establish business processes, recommending improvements as relevant. This role sits within the Customer Communications group, and focuses specifically on digital communications.What youll be doing

  • Identifying, supporting and embedding a suite of automated digital tools to drive efficiencies and performance across people and processes.
  • Delivering the centralised Supplier Relationship Management (SRM) strategy for a small portfolio of High/Medium risk suppliers
  • Supporting the Senior Manager in commercial negotiations including contract discussions; and performance management such as special measures.
  • Daily engagement with some of San UK’s High/Medium risk 3rd party suppliers
  • Building and maintaining strategic partnerships and relationships where required
  • Leading benchmarking exercises versus other Vendors ensuring the bank has the most favourable proposition.
  • Maintaining all contracts ensuring fit for purpose within the correct bank repository.
  • Responsible for spend approval made to Vendors in the appropriate portfolio, ensuring Payments are made in line with bank policy and agreed contract and are subject to appropriate challenge
  • Collaborate and interact with senior stakeholders driving commercial savings, Vendor performance, customer process improvement, policy compliance and risk mitigation.
  • What were looking for
  • Proven track record of supporting delivery of change programmes within large organisations.
  • Knowledge of digital and automation tool/techniques in Financial Services e.g. Robotics, Big Data and strategic experience of applying these tools to deliver efficiency, risk mitigation and customer journey improvements.
  • Understanding financial industry vendor strategy and wider commercial markets in order to support the agreed strategy.
  • Knowledge of supporting delivery of intellectual models to a defined portfolio of vendors in large financial institutions in order to deliver the agreed strategy.
  • Very high commercial acumen in order to drive sustainable cost saving and efficiency plans
  • Experience of responsibility for day to day management of budgets, budget setting, forecasting of financial performance and cost reduction plans
  • Proven track record of understanding IAMRisk principles at a senior level in an Operational environment; experience of meeting internal policy and external regulation.
  • Relevant experience of Change and Project management at a senior level
  • Ability to collaborate with and influence senior stakeholders both internally and externally in our suppliers in order to deliver agreed strategy.
  • Ability to translate complex issues into clear and robust proposals for communication to both senior stakeholders in the business and externally.
