Job Description

Reception Class Teacher

  • Daily Rate: £156 - £196 (dependent on experience)
  • Location: South Ribble
  • Job Type: Full-time, Maternity Cover
  • Start Date: October half-term 2024
We are seeking a dedicated Reception Class Teacher to join a vibrant school in the South Ribble area. This maternity cover role is an excellent opportunity for an enthusiastic educator who is passionate about early years education and is looking to makea positive impact on young learners. Day-to-day of the role:
  • Delivering the Early Years Foundation Stage curriculum to reception pupils.
  • Creating a nurturing and stimulating learning environment that supports the development of children.
  • Planning, preparing, and delivering lessons that cater to the needs of the whole ability range within the class.
  • Monitoring and assessing children’s progress and adapting teaching materials accordingly.
  • Engaging with parents and carers to support children’s learning and development.
  • Working collaboratively with colleagues to maintain high standards of teaching.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
  • Experience in teaching reception or early years.
  • A thorough understanding of the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) curriculum.
  • Strong classroom management skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • Ability to create an inclusive learning environment.
  • Flexibility and creativity in teaching methods.
