Job Description

Project Manager - Premier Gaming Company - Liverpool(Tech stack: Project Manager, Senior Project Manager, Agile Project Manager, Agile, Scrum, Kanban)Our client, a premier Computer Gaming Company based in Liverpool, is seeking a dynamic and experienced Project Manager to join their innovative team.Position Overview:As a Project Manager, you will be instrumental in guiding Agile development teams to deliver high-quality gaming experiences. Your role will encompass:

  • Agile Leadership: Serve as the Scrum Master for one or more Agile development teams, facilitating key ceremonies such as sprint planning, daily stand-ups, sprint reviews, and retrospectives.
  • Mentorship: Coach and mentor team members on Agile principles and practices, fostering continuous improvement and high-performance teamwork.
  • Collaboration: Partner with Product Owners to prioritize backlog items, define acceptance criteria, and ensure clear communication of project requirements.
  • Risk Management: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify project dependencies, risks, and impediments, and develop strategies to keep projects on track.
  • Progress Tracking: Monitor and report on project progress using metrics like sprint burndown charts and velocity, providing regular updates to stakeholders and senior management.
  • Culture Building: Foster a culture of transparency, collaboration, and continuous improvement within Agile teams and across the organization.
  • Project Planning: Engage in project planning activities, including release planning and sprint planning, to establish realistic project goals and timelines.
  • Stakeholder Coordination: Coordinate with external stakeholders as needed to ensure smooth project execution and delivery.
  • Cross-Functional Communication: Act as a liaison between development teams and other departments, such as UX/UI and product management, to facilitate effective collaboration.
  • Process Improvement: Contribute to the enhancement of Agile processes and best practices within the organization, including the implementation of Agile frameworks like Scrum or Kanban.
Qualifications:
  • Experience: Proven experience as a Scrum Master or Agile Project Manager, preferably within the gaming or software development industry.
  • Skills: Deep understanding of Agile methodologies and frameworks. Certified ScrumMaster (CSM) certification is highly desirable.
  • Communication: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with diverse teams and stakeholders.
  • Leadership: Strong leadership abilities to guide and motivate teams in a fast-paced environment.
  • Problem-Solving: Robust analytical and problem-solving skills to effectively address project challenges and risks.
