Job Description

An opportunity for a Senior Payroll Officer within a well respected Not For Profit organisation in Liverpool City Centre. The suitable candidate will ensure accurate processing and recording of the companys payroll, provide timely and accurate financialinformation, and participate in data entry payroll processing.   • Processing and managing end to end company payroll in a timely manner.
  • Ensuring payroll information is accurate and entries are made correctly.
  • Working closely with the Accounting & Finance department to align payroll with company financials.
  • Resolving payroll discrepancies and answering employee payroll queries.
  • Assisting with audits and regulatory reporting as required.
  • Ensuring compliance with all relevant laws and internal policies.
  • Liaising with auditors and managing payroll tax audits.
  • Collaborating with the Human Resources department to ensure correct employee data.
ProfileA successful Senior Payroll Officer should have:
  • A degree in Finance, Accounting, or a relevant field.
  • Expertise in payroll software and MS Office (especially Excel).
  • Strong numeracy skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication skills to resolve payroll queries.
  • Knowledge of payroll tax payments and procedures.
  • Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
