Job Description

Management AccountantLivingston£30,000 - £40,000 per annumAn exciting opportunity has arisen for a Management Accountant to join the dynamic support services team with our client. If you are a motivated, proactive Management Accountant, eager to contribute to the success of a growing business, this role is perfectfor you.About the Role: As a Management Accountant, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of the Finance function. You will work closely with the Finance Manager, handling a variety of financial tasks that are vital for their business operations.Key Responsibilities:

Monitor UK and overseas bank accounts and cash flow.
Post transactions and resolve internal and external queries.
Process employee expense claims.
Prepare cost reports and oversee stock takes.
Analyse cost of sales and review project costs.
Manage monthly nominal reports, accruals, prepayments, and invoiced items.
Reconcile balance sheets for debtors, creditors, banks, and loans.
Prepare monthly management accounts and group accounts.
Generate budget reports and handle overseas supplier payments.
Update fixed asset register and post depreciation.
Prepare and submit VAT returns.
Handle foreign currencies and withholding tax.

Essential skills and experience:

Previous experience in a similar role, ideally within an SME.
Proficiency in MS Excel and SAGE Line 50 or similar accounting software.
Strong accuracy and attention to detail.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines.
Having or working towards an Accountancy qualification would be desirable.

Ability to manage tasks independently and meet tight deadlines.
