The equipment is varied and located over a largearea, so the role will involve lots of travel around the engineering sites to locate equipment requiring inspection. This role plays a critical part in ensuring British Airways can carry out its engineering work safely and effectively.What you’ll do:

• Mechanical bias Engineering qualification, minimum of NVQ Level 3 (or equivalent) but ideally HNC.
• Proven hands-on experience in maintaining, repairing and servicing of mechanical equipment (vehicles/GSE/lifting equipment)
• Experience in Inspecting would be highly advantageous, as would holding any LEEA certificates.
• Good understanding of LOLER and PUWER regulations.
• IT literacy skills, as inspections will be completed on a handheld device. Experience using Microsoft office would be advantageous.
• Must be able to write clear inspection reports for equipment, detailing any defects or recommendations.
• Must be able to work collaboratively within a wider team of maintenance and administration staff on the contract, and willing to carry out any reasonable request by management in support of the contract.

Who you’ll be:

• Must be able to provide 5 years employment history with refences, explaining any gaps in work to obtain airside pas
