Please note that this is a fixed term position expected to last 12 monthsThe RoleThe purpose of this role is to support the relationship with the Department for Transport (DfT) whilst protecting the interests of the shareholders. You will be partnering with business areas to ensure targets are being met, obligations are being deliveredand the client is aware of progress.You will be responsible for supporting the Performance Based Fee (PBF) reporting process for designated areas of the business as directed, working with internal functions to write case studies, presentations, and reports, to deliver the best possible outcomefor the business.Within this role, you will act as a key conduit into the Annual Business Planning (ABP) process collating information from internal functions ensuring timelines and deadlines for submission are adhered to. You will monitor and track progress of relevantABP KPIs, working with internal functions to capture data and evidence that supports performance against KPI targets.Duties will involve providing guidance and oversight to key workstreams to ensure compliance with the National Rail Contract (NRC) requirements. In addition, you will also be required to provide updates to the wider team and report on progress of commitments,successes and flagging any areas at risk of non-compliance. This will also include any other reasonable duties as requested by the Head of Client Relations & Chief of Staff or the wider team.What we are looking forWe are looking for a candidate who has good commercial experience of operational and strategic performance metrics, and experience in working to resolve complex commercial problems that may affect the delivery obligations of contracting parties.The ideal candidate will have the relevant degree level or equivalent academic qualification (desirable), and a good practical knowledge of contract management. You should have the working knowledge of risk management processes.The successful candidate will have effective relationship and stakeholder management skills, with a proven ability to influence at a senior level and manage external contractual relationships.
