Citi continues to enhance its business control and governance framework by building out Institutional Credit Management (ICM), a new function in the 1st Line of Defense, to house and consistently manage credit risk activities performed across its InstitutionalClient Group organization . ICM provides integrated "end-to-end" credit underwriting, identification, measurement, management, and monitoring for wholesale credit risk across the enterprise. Within ICM, the Credit Underwriting function (ICM-UW) provides analysis,underwriting, first-line-of-defense credit approval and subsequent credit monitoring. The Underwriter will hold a critical role within the ICM by applying in-depth disciplinary knowledge, contributing to the development of new techniques and the improvement of processes and workflows for the area or function. The Underwriter will integrate subjectmatter and industry expertise within a defined area. The successful candidate must have an in-depth understanding of how areas collectively integrate within the sub-function as well as coordinate and contribute to the objectives of the function and overallbusiness. The selected candidate must be able to evaluate moderately complex and variable issues with substantial potential impact, where development of an approach/taking of an action involves weighing various alternatives and balancing potentially conflicting situationsusing multiple sources of information. The ideal candidate requires strong analytical skills in order to filter, prioritize and validate potentially complex and dynamic materials from multiple sources. The selected candidate will regularly assume informal/formalleadership roles within teams and will be involved in coaching and training of new recruits. The Underwriter AVP will have a significant impact in terms of project size, geography, etc. by influencing decisions through advice, counsel and/or facilitating servicesto others in area of specialization. Strong communication, diplomacy and leadership skills are required. Work and performance of all teams in the area are directly affected by the performance of the individual. Responsibilities:
