Job Description

About the team: Join our Information Security team, composed of five specialized teams -Identity and Access Management, Operations, Assurance, Data Protection, and Engineering-dedicated to safeguarding Man Group. Work in concert with business and tech departments to constructand refine security measures, employing a data-centric approach to ensure efficacy. About the role: As an integral member of the Information Security team, the Data Protection Analyst works under the guidance of the Senior Data Protection Manager to reinforce the companys data privacy and security posture. This role involves the execution of GDPR compliancetasks, participation in data mapping to secure sensitive data and intellectual property and assisting in the monitoring and application of international data protection laws. The Data Protection Analyst plays a pivotal role in supporting the development ofrecord keeping and retention standards and procedures, ensuring the companys framework remain aligned with evolving legislative requirements. This position requires a blend of analytical prowess, technical knowledge, and effective communication skills toeffectively collaborate with various teams and contribute to the organizations comprehensive data protection strategies. Responsibilities:

  • GDPR Process Support: Assist in the development and execution of GDPR-related processes, including ROPA, DSARs, DPIA, Data Breach management, 3rd party risk and other data protection activities.
  • Data Mapping Assistance: Support data mapping initiatives to identify data flows, sensitive information, and intellectual property within the organization.
  • Regulatory Monitoring: Help monitor global data retention and privacy regulations to ensure company compliance across different jurisdictions.
  • Data Deletion Procedures: Collaborate with technical teams in creating and implementing data deletion standards in line with data protection policies.
  • Intellectual Property Identification: Aid in the identification and protection of the companys intellectual property in data management processes.
  • Policy and Process Documentation: Document data protection policies and procedures and contribute to the maintenance of relevant records and reports.
  • Team Collaboration: Work within the data protection team to support data privacy and security initiatives and strategies.
Requirements:
  • Bachelors degree in IT, Law, Cybersecurity, or a related field. CIPP/E/CIPM/CIPT certification beneficial.
  • Experience: 1-3 years of experience in data protection, data governance, compliance, risk, information security, or a related field.
  • Technical Knowledge: Understanding of data protection regulations (e.g., GDPR), data lifecycle management, and IT security principles.
  • Analytical Skills: Good analytical skills with the ability to assist in interpretation and practical application of regulatory requirements.
  • Communication: Effective communication skills for documenting processes and collaborating with team members.
  • Organizational Abilities: Strong organizational skills with the ability to handle multiple tasks and prioritize effectively.
