As part of our commitment to excellence, we deliver outstanding domestic services that ensure a clean, safe, and welcoming environment forall residents and staff.Role Summary:The Deputy Domestics Manager will play a crucial role in supporting the Domestics Manager in overseeing the daily operations of the housekeeping and cleaning services at Goodenough College. This includesmanaging a team of domestic assistants, ensuring high standards of cleanliness, and maintaining compliance with health and safety regulations.Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist the General Manager in the day-to-day management of domestic services.
  • Supervise and motivate a team of domestic assistants, providing training and support as needed.
  • Ensure all areas of the college are cleaned to the highest standards.
  • Conduct regular inspections and quality checks.
  • Manage inventory and order cleaning supplies.
  • Handle administrative tasks, including scheduling and payroll.
  • Respond to and resolve any issues or complaints promptly.
  • Maintain compliance with health and safety regulations and company policies.
  • Foster a positive and collaborative working environment.
Requirements:
  • Proven experience in a supervisory role within a cleaning or housekeeping environment.
  • Strong leadership and people management skills.
  • Excellent organizational and time-management abilities.
  • Attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining high standards.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Knowledge of health and safety regulations.
  • Ability to work flexibly, including weekends and evenings if required.
