Job Description

Purpose of the RoleSavills has a significant and leading business in commercial landlord property and facility management, and increasingly, Occupier / Workplace FM services. The growth of this business is such that the service line now requires a dedicated FMI Account Managerwho is also able to assist with the strategic development of the service line.Working alongside the Director – Head of Occupier FM, the FMI Account Manager will be responsible for supporting in the setting the Operational strategy, Objectives and Business plans for individual contracts, and for the overall delivery of a best –in-classFM service to occupier clients.The FMI Account Manager will have responsibility the resourcing and sound financial performance of the individual contracts, and assist develop opportunities to grow overall FM revenue and complementary services, participate in wider business developmentand growth, whilst ensuring appropriate statutory compliance, governance and contractor management policies are in place to serve managed sites.Key ResponsibilitiesPrimary Objectives

  • To provide Strategic Leadership and Development of operational excellence in the delivery of FM services;
  • Effective Client and Contract Management - building excellent client relationships, working with senior decision-makers in order to develop client workplace strategies and so assist our own FM revenue growth. A hands-on approach is required;
  • Act as FM lead for designated key clients;
  • Negotiate contracts and SLAs with guidance from the Director and oversee delivery of best-in-class services;
  • Ensure the effective mobilisation of new contracts;
  • Engagement with contractors and sub-contractors (in conjunction with central support and procurement) to ensure effective and harmonious delivery of services;
  • To put in place a clear management structure for FM operations delivery, built on a solid business plan reflective of business needs;
  • To support the Lead Director in developing a solid business plan for Occupier FM services, and assist with implementation;
  • To ensure sound financial performance of both individual client contracts and overall team business, liaising with the business line Financial Controller;
  • Provide excellent and effective line management and leadership of the team, inspiring and empowering team members and encouraging personal growth;
  • To ensure staff understand and comply with relevant Policies, Procedures, and Training, leading by example;
  • Ensure that staff have access to appropriate IT systems and equipment, in line with the requirements of the job.
  • To ensure an effective operation of the health and safety and environmental function to all staff working alongside the Savills UK Health and Safety Director;
Other Tasks and Responsibilities
  • To participate in the relevant Operations Board responsible for the good governance of the business service line;
  • Attend pitches for new business and supporting business development initiatives for Occupier FM and, as appropriate, the wider Savills business;
  • To support the wider business team reviewing and identifying opportunities for cross-border / client contracts working in liaison with the European Management Co-Ordinator and / or Worldwide Occupier Services as appropriate, establishing a network of contractorsto support potential business;
  • In addition to the tasks described above, the job holder may be required to carry out other duties as may reasonably be required from time to time
Skills, Knowledge and Experience Minimum Expected
  • 9+ years’ experience in a senior role delivering profitable FM Occupier services;
  • A demonstrable understanding and experience of workplace FM strategies, change management and development.
  • Experienced in leading strategic analysis and proposition development to win and maintain significant accounts;
  • Strong customer service ethos;
  • Excellent Financial Management - proven P+L management;
  • Excellent communicator, strong interpersonal and influencing skills;
  • Demonstrable leadership skills-set, track record in developing teams;
  • Ability and desire to act under delegated authority and lead by example;
  • IT literate and good written and oral reporting ability;
  • In built desire to help build a sustainable and significant business stream;
  • An appreciation of the context and wider commercial business of Savills.
Desirable
  • Degree or professional qualification in relevant area e.g. FM, Property , Engineering, Hospitality;
  • Health and Safety qualification/ certification - NEBOSH
  • Track record in working for a major contractor or consultant in the FM sector;
  • Cross-border working experience
