Job Description

About this role:Wells Fargo is seeking an International Banking Business Associate (known internally as a Senior Business Execution Consultant) in London. Join the Corporate and Investment Banking (CIB) division at Wells Fargo Wholesale, where we coordinate client coverage and effectively align our resources and capabilities to meet the diverse needs of our clients. As part of one of the largest groups withinInternational Banking, you will work with various Coverage and Product Lines of Businesses (LOBs) including the Corporate Banking Group (CBG), Debt Capital Markets (DCM), Financial Institutions Group (FIG), Global Institutional Capital Group (GICG), Syndicatedand Acquisition Finance (SAF), Fund Finance Group (FFG), Financial Solutions Group (FSG), UK Risk Solutions (UKRS), Mergers & Acquisitions (M&A), and Real Estate Syndicated Finance (RESF). The International Banking COO team, led by the Banking COO, collaborates closely with the Head of Banking, the various lines of Businesses, as well as the International COO (ICOO) and Global Banking COO teams. Together, they ensure that strategic business plansand initiatives are effectively implemented across the businesses in alignment with Wells Fargos values, culture, and business practices, all while being mindful of the local risk and regulatory framework. This role is integral to the International BankingCOO team, providing critical support and coordination to drive business success.   • provide business management support where necessary to International Banking COO and International Banking Head
  • provide centralised support to Lines of Business COOs and Business Heads, as required.
  • work with cross functional business partners on Banking related projects, initiatives and issues.
  • develop and implementing reporting and metrics.
  • support on developing relevant internal and external policies and procedures.
  • provide leadership to analysts and other support functions in the integration/implementation of programs/services/initiatives with cross functional business partners, recognizing the significance of competing priorities and strategies, and adjusting asnecessary. May manage a small team (direct or indirect).
  • manage and developing the various administrative policies and procedures of the LOBs on a day-to-day basis.
  • Coordinate and own the drafting of Business updates for various governance meetings.
  • Support on new initiatives and strategic projects across International, as requested by the Banking COO and Head of LOB or self identified.
  • Play a key role in both the medium and long-term planning and strategy execution for the LOBs. This includes working on the annual strategic plan and financial budgets.
  • Support in the organization of ongoing management disciplines - team meetings, partner calls, account planning, forward calendar, portfolio reviews, etc.
  • Conduct in-depth financial and qualitative analysis of monthly financial statements, lead development of solutions and recommendations to enhance performance in the region. Working with finance and analytics teams.
  • Establish and develop strong relationships with key stakeholders, including Global Banking COOs, LOB teams, product / coverage partners and support teams including: controls, Finance, HR, Compliance/IRM, Legal, Technology, Audit.
  • Operates at all times with an enterprise mindset to ensure alignment, consistency and shareholder value.
  • Develop a strong knowledge of Wells Fargo products and systems, and be able to understand the applicability of these to relationship management teams.
Required Qualifications:
  • Experience in Business Execution, Implementation, or Strategic Planning, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education
  • Significant corporate and investment banking industry experience
  • Knowledge and understanding of financial, accounting, economic, and modelling concepts
  • Ability to develop operational reporting and performing complex data analysis
  • Ability to make timely and independent judgment decisions while working in a fast-paced and results-driven environment
  • Ability to develop partnerships and collaborate with other business and functional areas
  • Strong organizational, multi-tasking, and prioritizing skills
  • Intellectual curiosity and desire to learn potentially new subject matter
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills
Desired Qualifications:
  • In-depth understanding of investment banking and corporate banking products including Capital Markets, M&A, loan underwriting and portfolio management as well as other Corporate Banking products
  • Experience in problem analysis, solution implementation, and successful change management for large scale changes
