Job Description

This is a long term contract opportunity for an experienced User Experience Designer with in-depth knowledge in Visual Design and Interaction Design to join a large, high profile and complex programme of work for a public sector body. As a User ExperienceDesigner, you will be adept at a wide range of human-centred research and design methodologies. Circa £485 per day INSIDE IR35. 12 months (approx. 235 working days) Hybrid working (up to 2 days a week) in London. Experience in contributing to a growing team, by sharing knowledge, defining shared methodology, producing reusable tools and pro-actively supporting colleagues and experience delivering design work packages within a technology-focused organisation are alsoneeded, The User Experience Designer will work with all other roles and key parties as necessary within the project, including the wider Product Owner Team, the Agile Development Leads, Testers, Solution Architects, Data Architects, Scrum Masters, Business Architects,Development Teams, Commercial Team, RUC Operations Team and other stakeholders to help ensure that the requirements adhere to technical strategy/constraints . Key skills for the User Experience Designer include:

  • Proactive individual able to work independently to deliver key design activities and artefacts to strict deadlines.
  • Time management skills, able to plan works and prioritise when necessary to meet objectives.
  • Collaborative individual able to work with different disciplines to achieve common goals.
  • Able to structure and produce clear and well-researched design solutions for digital services and products.
  • Impactful storytelling and presentation skills, able to deliver compelling messages to stakeholders.
  • In-depth knowledge in Visual Design and Interaction Design
  • Computer literate able to use basic MS Office applications and systems.
  • Innovative and proactive, able to look at challenges from a different perspective and work towards developing new and effective ways of doing things.
