Job Description

Management Accountant | Permanent | London | £50,000 - £60,000 + Bonus + BenefitsFor an award-winning EdTech company helping young people experience online and virtual career and university course tasters, were recruiting a talented Management Accountant. Reporting to the Head of Finance and Operations, and joining a growing Financeteam, were looking for someone eager to dive into all aspects of financial information. The Management Accountant will take the lead preparing insightful monthly reporting, and variance analysis, and will oversee all day-to-day finance processes includingcash-flow forecasting. The role will suit a qualified accountant with experience in industry, as well as motivation to improve processes - someone who can see the big picture but is unafraid to delve into the details to maintain robust and reliable financialrecords. This role will line-manage a Finance Assistant.What youll be doing:

  • Month-end management, including preparation and review of management accounts
  • Balance review and reconciliations
  • Quarterly VAT returns and control account reconciliations
  • Monthly Bank reporting, including Forex reports and working with multi-currency
  • Partnering external accountants in the year-end processes including preparation of working papers (US and UK)
  • Supporting FP&A processes including annual budgeting and re-forecasting
  • Supporting the Head of Finance and Operations with Board reporting
  • Finance project work including pricing, and ROI appraisals
  • Line-management of the Finance Assistant, who oversees the transactions (AP, AR, Credit control)
  • Reviewing and documenting finance processes; including proposing and implementing improvements
What youll offer us:
  • Qualified Accountant (ACA, ACCA, or CIMA)
  • 2+ years PQE experience ideally from both small and large commercial businesses
  • Strong analytical, written and verbal communication skills
  • Loves to be part of a busy, forward - thinking team
  • Passion for solving, owning, and taking problems to resolution
  • Great attention to detail, rigour and the ability to challenge and self-review
  • Advanced Excel skills (Macro-level) is a must - ideally with Xero and Google Sheets experience.
