Job Description

Are you an experienced payroll professional with a passion for leadership and making a difference Portfolio Payroll are looking for highly skilled Payroll Team Leader to join their dynamic team for one of the UKs leading charities. This role is pivotalin ensuring the efficient and accurate payroll processing for their dedicated workforce.Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the payroll operations for a multi-sited workforce of employees, ensuring the timely and accurate payroll processing
  • Lead and mentor a team of 4 payroll administrators, fostering a collaborative and high-performance work environment
  • Utilise Workday, to man age and streamline payroll processes ensuring compliance on relevant legislation and organisational policies
  • Resolve complex payroll issues, providing expert guidance and support to team members and other departments
  • Collaborate with HR and Finance teams to ensure the seamless integration of payroll data and reporting
  • Implement and maintain best payroll practices, and continuously look where processes can be improved
Qualifications/Experience:
  • Proven experience in a payroll leadership role, preferably within a large multi-sited organisation
  • Strong proficiency with the Workday software
  • Excellent understanding of UK payroll legislation
  • Demonstrated ability to lead, motivate and develop a team
  • Exceptional problem solving skills and attention to detail
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to interact effectively at all organisational levels
