Job Title: Project & Infrastructure Finance AssociateJob Type: PermanentLocation: LondonSalary: £66,000 - £80,000Opportunity Overview: A fantastic opportunity has arisen to join my client, one of the leading invoice finances and asset-based lending companies in the UK, as a Project & Infrastructure Finance Associate.Role Objective: Within Project & Infrastructure Finance, my client arranges debt financing for infrastructure projects. My clients team has a strong focus on supporting the energy transition, the digitalisation of society and the decarbonisation of mobility.Within energy transition my client finance a wide range of technologies, including offshore and onshore wind, battery storage, solar, geothermal and energy from waste as well as considering emerging technologies including floating offshore wind, hydrogen,and carbon capture. Within digital my client typically focusses on data centres, towercos and fibre connections and within mobility my client consider electric vehicle charging, de-carbonised transport and battery cell manufacturing, amongst others. The Project & Infrastructure Finance team takes collective responsibility for the portfolio management activities of my clients transactions, supported by several dedicated portfolio management colleagues.Key Responsibilities:The role of an Associate in the Project & Infrastructure Finance team is to be a key deal team member to arrange and structure complex Project & Infrastructure Finance lending, across our three target sectors. This involves origination activities, negotiatingterm sheet and credit agreements, writing credit applications, preparing financial analyses, and reviewing due diligence materials and legal documentation. The team negotiates and coordinates with clients, financial advisors, due diligence providers (legal,technical, insurance, market/commercial, model audit) as well as working with a range of internal stakeholders, including credit, syndicate, coverage, client acceptance and mid and back office. The Associate will also assist in research, market analysis andcommercial activities, including pitching to clients and attending lenders meetings. In addition, alongside other colleagues you will also be responsible for management of the existing portfolio of transactions, including monitoring and management of integrated risks. You will be responsible for timely handling of waivers/amendments, refinancingrequests, and in-depth semi-annual credit reviews of our transactions. You typically work in deal teams tailored to the case at hand, considering the required balance in terms of seniority and sector expertise. In close cooperation with the syndicate team, you actively support selective distribution of debt exposures to thirdparties.Requirements:Our preferred Project & Infrastructure Finance Associate has existing client facing, execution and risk management experience within at least one of the energy, digital or mobility sectors, who will be able to quickly get up to speed with the teams deal andsector focus to manage complex, highly structured financing solutions. Our ideal candidate does not stick to one specialism but is able to adapt to a range of different geographies, technologies, regulatory regimes, and structures, applying cross-learning to continually develop new expertise. Our candidate should also benefit from the following skills and experience: * Graduate or equivalent. * At least two years experience of working for an established financial institution or professional services firm, ideally in a client facing team. * Determined and proactive self-starter. * Willingness to question in an appropriate manner and contribute to always improving standards and quality. * Demonstrable understanding of credit and risk related elements and processes. * Excellent analytical and numerical skills. * Strong communication and interpersonal skills. * Strong computer literacy and technical skills, proficient with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) * Keen awareness and desire to build relevant industry related knowledge. * Solid understanding of business drivers across a range of sectors, as well as the general market environment, including ability to understand how conditions might impact the companys clients. * Accurate attention to detail and consistently striving for the highest quality output in all work. * Excellent in English (oral and written) and preferably additional languages. * Solid understanding of the various banking products and services available to corporate clients.Dont hesitate and miss out!
