Job Description

Senior Accountant £50,000-£60,000 plus bonus London, office-based Our client is an international Real Estate firm that develops, invests and manages a diverse portfolio of properties across the world. They are well-backed by global investors and have great growth plans for the future.They are looking for a Senior Qualified Accountant with property experience to join their thriving team in London.This is an excellent opportunity for a Newly Qualified Accountant looking to grow and take on a challenging position with increasing tasks. It offers full ownership of all finance aspects, including cashflow management accounting, year-end reporting andtax submissions. You will gain exposure to various jurisdictions and real estate asset classes and will get involved in different accounting regulations, corporate governance, and administration.Key Responsibilities:

  • Review the companys quarterly management accounts and monthly cash flows, prepared by third parties, including variance analysis
  • Overview the monthly bank reconciliations and quarterly rent reconciliations
  • Collaborate with asset managers to review annual budgets and business plans prepared by the outsourced accountants
  • Prepare quarterly board papers for the property portfolio, including variance analysis, and support the Finance Manager
  • Prepare and review year-end statutory accounts prepared under IFRS and local GAAP
  • Manage the year-end audit and liaise with external auditors
  • Liaise with third parties on tax and corporate matters
  • Oversee corporate administration for non-UK companies, manage inter-company balances
  • Review VAT and tax returns
  • Work with Asset Managers providing financial reviews of prospective tenants and lease cashflow modeling
Key Requirements:
  • Qualified Accountant (ACCA/ ACA/ CIMA) or finalist
  • Experience in property accounting is essential
  • International experience is advantageous
  • Strong organisational and third-party management skills
  • Proficiency on Excel
  • Potential for overseas travel
