Job Description

Senior Director – Product PartnershipsLocation: UK or IrelandContract: PermanentReporting to: VP. Corporate and Ecommerce, ProductRole OverviewThis role is an exciting opportunity to join a growing Pan EU acquirer and play a major role in the execution of Product Strategy. The successful candidate will be responsible for Identifying and developing product partnerships to meet strategic opportunities in our European Business. The Senior Director, Partnerships will possess that rare combination of being both a strategic thinker and effective change executer. The successful candidate will be a leader who can develop and evolve opportunities at the highest corporate levels internally and externally and will have a strong bias for action.The successful candidate will be responsible for all aspects in the development and launch of our strategic partnerships. This is a single contributor role that needs to work collaboratively to succeed. Accountability for the product partner strategy and execution requires engagement and working closely with many internal stakeholders.To succeed in this role you will be able to demonstrate exceptional leadership focussed on Strategic Transformation. You will be able to show previous success in commercially focused product or software roles. You will have lead in the selection and establishment of third parties to deliver solutions to market. You will have experience of managing through a matrix organisation and be extremely results orientated.Responsibilities:

  • Working with the product leadership team you will work closely with Product Management in translating product strategy into partner delivery
  • You lead in carrying out market and competition analyses and identify and validate potential partners that can deliver on Elavon’s product strategy
  • You will understand the various pro’s and con’s of varying partner models (outsourcing, licencing, reselling, referral etc) as they apply to an opportunity
  • Select the appropriate partner model for Elavon, in the delivery of the strategic alliance
  • Be accountable for the development of RFIs and RFPs for the opportunity
  • Identify key internal stakeholders in partner selection process and illicit feedback and relevant engagement during partner selection process
  • Manage the partner selection process
  • Be accountable for the commercial model in the delivery of the strategic partnership
  • Be accountable for the contract development and execution
  • Development of new product ideas and ensuring the cost-effectiveness of the products for which we are responsible as well as their risk analysis
  • Delivery of Strategic change in the business
  • Manage the process and have overall Product EU responsibility for assessment and selection of outsourced (and white labelled ) product partnerships
  • You will have the following skills and experience:
  • You have substantial experience in commercial product management roles at mid management level or higher of a payment service provider;
  • You have sound experience and knowledge of the European card business;
  • You are result and solution oriented, self-reliant and customer-oriented and have a strong analytical and strategic mind-set;
  • You are confident, professional and convincing and possess first class communication and presentation skills
  • You are fluent in spoken and written English
  • You have developed and executed significant Business change management programmes
  • Led strategic product reviews
  • Managed the process of assessing selecting and implementing licenced or outsourced developed product solutions.
