Job Description

Senior Administrator / Practice Manager£30k to £45k (pro rata)25 hours per week (3,4 or 5 days)LoughboroughOffice basedThe OpportunityDue to a retiring Practice Manager, a rare opportunity has opened up within an Accountancy Practice based in Loughborough.A relaxed but hard working and professional environment awaits a strong administrator / aspiring Practice Manager or a current and established Practice Manager.The RoleYou’ll be a cornerstone of support to the team of Accountants and Managing Partner. Happy to play backstop and pick up the many loose ends within a professional practice and office environment, your main purpose will be that of data management and proceduralcompliance.Typical duties includeTo manage and maintain the company’s databases, including the on-boarding of new clients (including file creation), removal of ex-clients, maintaining the clients service schedules and related jobs.To manage and maintain the suite of standard letter templates and producingmailshots as required.To be responsible for overseeing the receptionist and reception area (and meeting rooms), including covering on reception as required, answering the telephone, monitoring the general company email account, monitoring the office maintenance requirements,and filing systems.To be responsible for maintaining office systems and creating systems to improve workflows and efficiencies.Undertaking Company Secretarial work for clients and filing documents with Companies House, including the formation of new companies.To be responsible for the annual health and safety review and ensuring compliance with requirements.Undertaking general office admin tasks, including being responsible for the postal system.The CandidateWe’re of course looking for high levels of inter-personal skills coupled with a strong degree if IT capability, specifically Word, PowerPoint and Databases (CRM, Accountancy Software etc). Iris knowledge would be distinctly advantageous.Your background should essentially be that of a Practice Manager role or similar to within a professional services organisation. Specifically, one or more of Accountancy Practice, Wealth Management, Insurance, Financial Services, Surveyors, Solicitors areessentially the areas that you should be well versed with.The BenefitsFlexibility is very much the attraction to this role (as well as the appealing working environment). 25 hours per week required, there’s flex for sure on how that’s put together. Salary guide c£30k to £45k (pro rata) pending current level of experience.Scope for progression towards that of a Practice Manager in this business is a real possibility where the nature of the role has capacity to evolve over time
