Job Description

Job Profile for Transport DebrieferBennett and Game are currently working with an award winning logistics company actively seeking a skilled and career driven Transport Administrator / Transport Debriefer to join their Leicestershire location.Our client have multiple sites across the UK and are a leading and innovative transport, supply-chain and warehousing company.The De-Brief Administrator plays a key role in ensuring the smooth day-to-day running of a busy Transport / Warehouse operation.Transport Debriefer Position Overview

  • Prepare "run sheets" for drivers informing them of their planned tasks
  • Communicate expected duties to delivery drivers
  • Ensure that drivers have all of the correct paperwork and booking information (ferry crossings) before the leave the depot
  • Ensure that all drivers leave the site fully compliant and road legal
  • Ensure that all drivers leave with the correct allocated vehicle, trailer and load
  • Ensure that the transport plan is followed as instructed by the transport planners
  • Ensure information is share with the relevant deputy such as driver lateness, sickness, absences or other such issues
  • Support the drivers with problem solving whilst they complete their assigned runs
  • Contact approved suppliers in the event of a vehicle or trailer breakdown, ensuring issues are resolved in a safe, fast and efficient manner
  • Revise the daily plan in response to arising issues such as driver no shows and lateness
  • Maintain the transport activity whiteboard so that it reflects what is happening in real time
  • Liaise with the warehouse teams to confirm consignments are ready in line with the plan
  • Communicate with the necessary parties regarding any delays that are likely to affect the warehouse or transport operation
  • Monitor vehicle tracking software, investigate and report any delays or suspicious activity including vehicles off-route and trackers not working
  • Carry out a full driver de-brief with drivers returning from runs
  • Check all returning vehicles for vehicle or trailer cleanliness or damage and report as appropriate
  • Liaise with the warehouse team regarding inbound trailers, un-loading and re-loading requirements
  • Support the rest of the transport team to ensure the smooth running of the operations
  • Conduct a full and detailed handover at the end of each shift
  • Ensure that all PODs are returned, captured, and uploaded onto the POD system without fail and with 100% accuracy, there should be no missing PODs the KPI for this activity is 100%
  • Any other ad-hoc duties as required
Transport Debriefer Position Requirements
  • Proven experience dealing with drivers documentation & paperwork
  • Experience & Knowledge of driver & fleet road compliance (legal compliance)
  • Experience in tracking driver data, infringements, accident investigations etc
  • Knowledge of transport PODs and updating transport KPIs
  • Proven knowledge of warehousing operations and internal department links from transport to warehouse
  • Knowledge of planning & routing of vehicles is highly desirable
Transport Debriefer Position Remuneration
  • Salary DOE - £22-25k
  • 4 on 4 off shift (6-6)
  • 20 days holiday + bank holidays
  • Parking on site
