Teaching Assistant for SEMH ProvisionAre you passionate about supporting students with social, emotional, and mental health needs We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Teaching Assistant to join our dynamic team at our SEMH Provision. This role involves working closely with studentsaged 9 to 16 who require additional support in their educational journey.Role Overview:Position: Teaching AssistantLocation: MacclesfieldContract Type: Full TimeSalary: £97Responsibilities:As a Teaching Assistant, you will:Provide Classroom Support: Assist teachers in delivering engaging lessons, adapting materials, and ensuring a positive learning environment.Individualised Support: Work closely with students, understanding their unique needs, and providing targeted assistance during class activities.Behaviour Management: Implement behaviour management strategies, promoting positive interactions and emotional regulation.Small Group Work: Facilitate small group sessions, reinforcing learning objectives and building students confidence.Collaborate with Staff: Collaborate with teachers, therapists, and other professionals to create a holistic approach to student development.Requirements:Experience: Previous experience working with SEMH students or in alternative education settings is advantageous.Empathy: Ability to connect with students, demonstrating patience and understanding.Adaptability: Flexibility in responding to individual needs and adjusting teaching methods accordingly.Team Player: Willingness to work collaboratively with colleagues and contribute to a positive school culture.Enhanced DBS Check: Successful candidates will undergo an enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check.Required skills
