Job Description

Job Title: Import CoordinatorLocation:South ManchesterJob Type:Full-time office basedSalary:£30,000 - £35,000 DOEReed Procurement & Supply Chainare currently working in partnership with a well established and busy freight forwarding business located in South Manchester, who are now looking to recruit an Import Coordinatoron a permanent basis. This is a great opportunityto take on a fully operational focused position, within a fast paced and well run business.Responsibilities:

Handle end-to-end import operations for both Air Freight and Ocean Freight
Coordinate with carriers, freight agents, and other service providers to ensure smooth cargo movement
Process customs clearances efficiently on CDS
Booking jobs & providing quotes
Maintain accurate records and documentation
Communicate effectively with clients and internal teams

Requirements:

Previous experience in import operations within the freight forwarding industry
Experience with CDS
Proficiency in handling Air Freight and Ocean Freight imports
Strong knowledge of customs regulations and procedures
Excellent communication and organisational skills
Attention to detail and ability to work independently
