Job Description

Becoming an E2E Architect with Smart DCC: Fantastic opportunity to secure an initial 6 months contract as an E2E Architect to develop, maintain and present the evolving end to end architecture. The E2E Architect is a leader for DCCs most critical projects or services. A technologist at-heart, passionate about planning and building compelling services and products. The role is based in Manchester but we can consider candidates based in London.What youll be doing:

  • The E2E Architect will provide solution architecture development, consultancy and assurance to projects. Being able to address and integrate the Business Process, Data, Application, Technical and Information Security aspects of an IT Solution.
  • Ownership of the end-to-end technical architecture, providing technical leadership to other domain architects (applications, data, infrastructure, security, service) to ensure overall cohesion
  • Ownership of key programme technical design artefacts - High Level Designs and Interface Specifications
  • Working alongside the Programmes leadership and Functional Lead to engage with senior stakeholders to present and discuss the solution design, including taking the lead on challenges to the design from those stakeholders
  • Actively manage a team of Architects from various backgrounds and levels of experience
  • Ensuring all services are developed to achieve a single vision and a controlled set of integrated designs. Ensuring design aligns with DCC enterprise architecture, including providing input to the DCC technology roadmap

  • Excellent people manager and recognised leader
  • Excellent stakeholder management, including the ability to communicate technical concepts to various stakeholder groups, including non-technical audiences.
  • Experience of leading design activities for complex, multi-technology, multi-party solutions
  • Experience in multiple architectural domains, preferably applications and infrastructure
  • Experience of operating and business solutions within a regulatory context
  • A self-starting individual with a strong work ethic capable of planning and managing own time effectively. Ability to perform under pressure and to work using own initiative as well as part of a team. Ability to manage a portfolio of work to timetable and quality, ensuring that the outputs are developed in an order that reflects Client expectations
