Job Description

Safeguarding AdministratorPart-Time - 24 hours PermanentPay Rate: 24.5kGreater ManchesterOur Client:Our client was rated "Good" in its last OFSTED report, and striving for outstanding. The College sees around 15,000 students each year enroll in courses, and their needs are at the heart of everything they do. They have 100% pass rates in around 50 coursesdelivered, as well as boasting some of the strongest partnerships with employers across Lancashire, which helps prepare students for life after college. Whether thats helping with future employment opportunities, or continued studies into higher education.The College has multi-million-pound facilities, including a fully set up TV Studio.The role:To provide administrational support to the Designated Safeguarding leads and Head of Studies team to help to maintain and ensure efficient and timely responses, monitoring, liaison, and recording systems as directed by the Head of Studies ManagerDuties of the position:

  • To track and monitor daily Pro-Monitor comments, liaising with key staff and ensuring swift actions and follow-up to ensure a continuous high standard of recording, response, and support for students
  • Work closely with the Safeguarding team to undertake routine clerical duties, including setting up and maintaining appropriate, effective administration systems, entering data, and supporting the Head of Studies Manager in any reporting duties
  • To note, record, and input key information received from or recorded in key meetings; some internal and external student support meetings such as Personal Education Plan and parent/guardian meetings included
  • Support communication strategies such as typing and sending letters/e-emails to parents/guardians and students
  • To work cooperatively with other areas of the College to provide a consistently high level of support for students, particularly when a Safeguarding or welfare issue arises, for College events and in preparation for producing documentation and data forQuality and Assurance meetings
What you need:
  • Administration/business-related qualification at Level 2
  • Level 2 English
  • Have up-to-date ability in Windows-based IT software
  • Recent experience in a similar position in any industry/sector
