Job Description

Our client is an IT reseller operating across the UK, predominantly selling technology into businesses education, healthcare and universities. Established enough to compete with global organisations - they are consistently securing further market share and expanding at a rate that the corporates cannot matchThey are now looking for Sales Director/Head of Sales to introduce a sales management structure that will benefit and support an already successful team whilst facilitating further additional executives, managers, and directors to join the company and develop.The Sales Director will ultimately be expected to take control and ownership of the entire sales function allowing the level of MD input required to significantly reduce.To be considered, a candidate must:

  • Have a strong and thorough understanding of the UK Technology reselling market.
  • Possess an established leadership style - gleaned from at least five years management of sales/account/business development managers.
  • Understand - and be able to clearly illustrate - how to build, improve and develop sales teams.
  • Have had a demonstrably successful career, working their way through the executive, management, senior management, and head of/director of sales path within the IT hardware sales channel.
  • We are looking for an individual who is viewed by their peers, subordinates - and those they currently work for as - an established, visible successful sales-leader working within the UK hardware B2B sales channel.Competencies:
  • Highly motivated, energetic, and proactive with a strong drive for results.
  • Experience with leading, developing and building of teams of sales managers and executives.
  • A structured approach to sales leadership adding value through training, mentoring, coaching of teams and high potential individuals.
  • Able to set and manage appropriate KPIs.
  • Exceptional inter-personal and professional relationship building skills.
  • At ease at all levels and with all stakeholders in the business.
  • Comfortable working in an entrepreneurial environment without the structure of a large corporate.
  • Location: Office in the South of the UK, with remote working and assistance with relocation costs a genuine possibility.Package: Flexible and generous basic salary above and beyond average market rate. Commission car, laptop, phone etc. Required skills
