Pay: Kent Range 3Start Date: November 2020We are a large inclusive primary school with over 800 pupils with a rising roll and so we require an additional temporary Teaching Assistant to join our team from November. We are seeking to appoint a skilled and enthusiastic individual to support pupils within a mainstream classroom with all aspects of their education.The successful candidates will have a wide range of skills to support children with their communication and interaction, SEMH, cognition and learning, sensory or physical needs. They will also have a genuine desire to ensure the children they support reach their full potential and have a safe, welcoming and positive experience in the classroom.Previous experience of working with school-age children would be advantageous but we are also open to applications from graduates who may be considering a career in teaching and wish to gain experience in a school environment.The post is for 30 hours per week (6 hours a day, Monday to Friday including daily lunchtime supervision) and term time only. The pay scale is Kent Range 3 at £18,039 per annum for a full-time position which equates to approximately £12,257 per annum pro rata for this role. The postholder is required to work for 38 weeks per year. In addition, the postholder will receive a payment in respect of their pro rata entitlement to Annual Leave appropriate to their grade, Bank Holidays and the KCC concessionary day.We require a good standard of general education and GCSE qualifications or equivalent in English and Mathematics at Grade C or above. Verification of qualifications will be required before employment can commence so please do not declare any qualifications unless you can produce the original certificate.A formal interview will take place with a panel comprising of members of the Senior Leadership Team and will last approximately thirty minutes.
