Production Team Leader, Up to £32,000 rising to £34,500, Newcastle, Monday to Friday Day Shifts Only, Lovely Company with culture to match.Overview of the Production Team Leader:Working for a well known and highly regarded food and drinks manufacturer in Newcastle, we are looking to hire a permanent Production Team Leader to manage and run a small division within the business. This position would suit either a Team Leader who isready to manage their own small production operation consisting of the Production Team Leader (this hire) and 4 full time production operatives, or it could suit a Manufacturing or Production Manager who is still happy to run an operation however they no longerwant the stresses and strains of running a large production operation.This company is also known for its great culture, for example many people have worked for this company for years and when employees do decide to move on, they often miss the environment and often end up coming back so this is a company that really do treatis employees fairly.Duties:Monitor and optimise performance, ensuring production plans are met with the highest possible efficiencyManage a small team of 4 operatives which will likely rise as the business grows.Work collaboratively with other areas of the business, to maximise production performanceReview and investigate production issues (such as holds, non-conformances, high waste etc.) promoting a right first time’ approachMonitor costs associated with production, ensuring they’re accurately recorded and aligned with targetsDevelop and maintain a culture of food safety and H&S, ensuring appropriate standards are observed at all times. Implement corrective action plans.Responsible for ensuring and promoting brand integrity, product quality and strict adherence to product specificationsPlan, coordinate and deliver assigned projects, providing regular updates and evaluationEnsure all necessary training is carried out and all employees receive sufficient support to carry out their duties to the required standardsMaintaining required levels of performance within the team, monitoring opportunities for development and succession planningMonitor conduct, absence and performance of all employees (currently a team of 4)Ensure adherence to company policies and practices, taking corrective action as requiredChair formal meetings with employees and conduct relevant investigations where appropriateOther ad hoc dutiesIdeal Experience:
