Job Description

Konker is currently recruiting for an Architectural Technician to join an award-winning architectural practice based in Newport.This practice consists of over 100 hard-working and creative staff members across 3 separate offices located in Gloucester, London, and Newport, with the latter being where successful applicants will be situated for this role.Offering architectural services such as landscape architecture, master planning, interior and urban design, consultancy, and 3D modelling, candidates are guaranteed to be exposed to a range of tasks in day-to-day life at this practice. Furthermore, they operatein a variety of sectors including education, sport and leisure, commercial, residential, healthcare, community, and mixed-use.The ideal candidate for this company will be working within the technical team and is expected to have excellent skills in using Revit. A wider commercial residential experience for houses and apartments is also required as the role will focus on the residentialsector, including urban design, master planning, and small-medium and large housing schemes.Furthermore, you will be tasked with standardroles that an Architectural Technician would be expected to carry out such as producing building regulations and working on residential developer work. Hence, knowledge of robust details, lifetime homes, and buildingregulations is essential.The salary for this position ranges from £25,000-£37,000 depending on previous experience and they offer numerous additional benefits such as flexible working, generous holiday allowance, and continued professional development opportunities.The Role: Architectural Technician
  • Produce detailed drawings to the construction phase
  • Understanding and acting on client briefs
  • Prepare layouts, drawings, and sketches while complying with the latest regulations
  • Developing House Types and Block Plans
  • Strong Technical skills – Revit is a necessity
