Our client is a local Council. They are seeking a Temporary Committee Officer to join the team for 3-6 months:Job purpose:To support the provision of an effective Democratic Service to the Council through servicing member meetings and other bodies as required and administrative work to support the democratic process.Main responsibilities1Organising and recording committee and other meetings meetings as allocated, including preparation of agendas, reports and minutes and taking follow up action.2Advising elected members and officers of the Council, members of outside bodies etc on the Council’s Constitution and other procedural issues.3Providing support to elected members, officers etc.4Undertaking other tasks as allocated, e.g, , appointments to outside bodies, maintaining the Council’s Constitution, etc.6Conduct research and prepare briefing notes or reports as required.9Create, develop and maintain effective working relationships with colleagues and external contacts, to enhance the performance of the service and the Council as a whole.10Carry out elections duties as directed by the Democratic and elections manager in supporting the Returning Officer.Please apply online or contact Maxine or Andrea at Reed Norwich
