This is a fantastic chance to play a pivotal role in ensuring product components meet top-notch design requirements and standards.What Will You Be Doing

  • Inspection Duties: Dive deep into inspecting purchased goods at suppliers premises and upon receipt, as well as in-house manufactured components.
  • Build and Assembly: Conduct thorough inspections during build, final assembly, and on returned machines.
  • Calibration: Take charge of calibrating various measuring instruments like micrometers, Verniers, and pressure gauges/CMM.
  • Paperwork and Reporting: Keep meticulous records and complete necessary paperwork to ensure compliance and traceability.
  • Temperature Control: Ensure and report on temperature control within the Standards room.
  • Additional Tasks: Take on various tasks as requested by the Line Manager to support the departments goals.
What Do You Need
  • Qualifications: A BTEC Level 3 in an Engineering discipline.
  • Experience: Previous experience in a Quality Control role, ideally within a manufacturing environment. Familiarity with the use and programming of Co-Ordinate Measuring Machines (CMM) and calibration methods for mechanical tooling is essential.
  • Skills: Proficiency in reading drawings, using measuring equipment, and IT systems.
  • Personality Traits: A self-starter with a keen eye for detail, excellent planning and organisation skills, and a genuine desire to help drive the business forward.
