Job Purpose

  • Support a varied client portfolio, working closely with the senior management team to ensure expectations and deadlines are met
  • Supervision and preparation of end-end accounts for Limited Companies, Sole Traders and Partnerships
  • Preparation of personal and partnership tax returns, including HNWIs
  • Preparation of management accounts, including tax planning work
  • Involvement in ad-hoc work projects including client transactions, M&A and raising finance
  • Oversee client workflow and internal management of resources
  • Supervise junior staff, including reviewing work and supporting their professional development
  • Liaising with clients, building trusted relationships and proactively handling queries
  • Identifying new processes and ways to increase efficiency
  • Researching and interpreting changes to taxation and accounting regulations
  • Championing your own professional development, enthusiastically undertaking training opportunities

Job Requirements
  • ACCA/ACA qualified
  • A part-qualified candidate with strong experience would also be considered
  • Recent experience working in UK practice
  • Prior experience in Audit would be an advantage
  • A proven track record of managing a client portfolio, including monitoring commercial aspects
  • Strong working knowledge of software, such as Xero, QuickBooks, and Sage
  • Up-to-date knowledge of tax legislation
  • A team player who can also work autonomously
  • A can-do attitude to problem-solving
  • Self-motivated and able to manage your own deadlines and workflow
  • Excellent communication skills and attention to detail
