This is a great opportunity to make a positive impact on a young adult’s life.Start Date: September 2024Location: NottinghamHours: 36-48 Hours per WeekHourly shift pattern: Days and Night ShiftsPay: £15.00 per hourHolidays: 5.6 weeks’ holiday pro rataAbout our clientOur client is a Third Year University student, who is studying Product Design at Nottingham Trent University. He lives with Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy, which affects every muscle in his body. He is an avid Nottingham Forest and Manchester United Fan, andenjoys Formula 1. He also enjoys going out to the Cinema, the Theatre and to restaurants.About youOur ideal candidate has a great sense of humour, loves football and enjoys going to matches. You are understanding, patient, able to both follow directions and work off your own initiative, and have good written and spoken English. You must be able to keepyourself busy when you are not needed, but close by and reachable by text/phone call. No experience needed as full training will be given.As written by the client"Hi, I’m Toby, I have a genetic condition called Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy which affects every muscle in my body and therefore, my ability to walk. But I won’t let this stop me! I am currently studying Product Design at Nottingham Trent University.However, due to my condition I will need a group of full-time personal assistants to help me with personal care and accessing my education.At university, I want to be as independent as possible and for this to happen, I will need someone who is willing to be part of a team of personal assistants for me. Don’t worry, it won’t feel like you work for me but it will be like we are mates. Thiswill enable me to study the subject that I love and live away from home for the duration of my studies. I live in the City of Nottingham in a home of my own. I live with a couple of my mates, and there is a room for my PA. I want to make university a fun periodof my life so I am looking for someone who has a good sense of humour.
