Job Description

Empowering Learning are looking for Special Needs Intervention Assistant in an impressive SEND Setting in Ruddington. Experience working in a school setting and experience with SEND pupils is favourable. Experience within the a sector withtransferrable skills may also be considered.Required Experience:

  • Have experience working with young people
  • Be highly organised with excellent communication skills
  • Have a desire to work with, inspire and support children
  • Have an interest in supporting young people with a variety of SEND
  • Have experience supporting children with additional needs (desirable not essential)
  • Be a part of the school team taking part in the wider school environment
  • Have an understanding of personal care management
  • Knoweldge or experience of PMLD students.
  • Supporting the class teacher and other teaching assistants in the day to day running of the class
  • Supporting children during lessons/school activities
  • Using techniques to support vulnerable young people in their daily education.
  • Supporting staff/children during lunch and break times
  • Managing pupils personalised learning based on their individual need.
  • Delivering 1:1 or small group activities
  • Collecting evidence of childrens work to support their assessment
  • Providing physical management and care of pupils
