Job Description

Maths Teacher (SEN/SEMH)Job title: Maths Teacher - SENJob type: PermanentLocation: NuneatonAs a Maths Teacher at this secondary school in Nuneaton, you will be an integral part of the team who put the children and young people at the heart of everything you do. This is an independent specialist day school in Nuneaton providing an engaging educationaloffer within a supportive and tailored learning environment for children aged 7 -16 with specific or a range of social, emotional and mental health needs, and additional needs such as ADHD, autism, learning needs and specific learning difficulties.You will receive a competitive salary, ongoing programme of CPD, a comprehensive induction programme and an enhanced pension, alongside the many benefits listed below.As a Maths Teacher at this specialist SEN school in Nuneaton your duties will include;

  • Developing, implementing, monitoring and evaluating a maths development plan for key stages 3 and 4.
  • Ensuring lessons are well structured and engaging
  • Work alongside other staff members to evaluate learning needs and objectives in line with students EHCPs
  • Providing support to students
  • Setting expectations to challenge and motivate students
To be considered for this Maths Teacher role, you must;
  • Hold a PCGE with QTS
  • Be a maths specialist
  • Have experience working with young people who present challenging behaviour, or have a desire to do so
  • Have right to work in the UK on a permanent basis
