Job Description This post is term-time, the salary will be pro-ratad to the hours worked.West Dunbartonshire Council is looking to recruit a Lead ELCO for Gavinburn Early Learning Childcare Centre to support the delivery of high quality early learning and childcare within West Dunbartonshire as we move towards expanded hours.It is essential you have management and practical experience in working with pre-five children in a relevant setting; in curriculum planning and delivering a curriculum as well as a commitment to developing parental involvement. You must have sound knowledge of the Curriculum for Excellence (Early Level) and Pre-Birth to Three Guidance likewise able to demonstrate a clear understanding of child development. Education Services are committed to the care and welfare of young people in a childcare environment.It is essential that you hold a BA in Childhood Practice (or equivalent) and be registered with SSSC (Scottish Social Services Council) or gain this within 6 months of appointment. Requirements This post is considered as Regulated Work with Children under the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (Scotland) Act 2007 and as such membership with the PVG scheme is essential.
