Job Description

Mpeople are currently recruiting for an experienced Machine Operator to join the expanding team of our Oldham based client.This role will work on temp to perm basis however may be considered immediately permanent for the right candidate.Role: Machine OperatorLocation: GlossopSalary: Depending on experienceHours: Days. Candidates must be flexible for other shifts during busy periods.Your role as a Machine Operator will include:

  • Operating machinery to assist with the manufacturing process
  • Working at the end of the line to ensure finished products are checked and packed before dispatch
  • Performing quality checks on finished products, testing suitability and ensure they meet the correct standards
  • Labelling finished products and packaging
  • Changing the line where necessary
  • Supplying raw materials
  • Storing finished products until they are ready to be dispatched
  • Completing manual handling and lifting tasks where necessary

Skills required for this role:
  • Must be physically fit as this is a demanding role
  • Previous experience operating machinery is a must
  • FLT experience would be advantageous
