Job Description

Circa £34,000 depending on skills & experience Permanent Full time, 37 hours per week Location: Peterborough officeMake every drop of your potential count. Join our team!Anglian Water is committed to providing the best water and water recycling services across the region by maintaining our existing assets and undertaking new projects to safeguard our future water supplies.We have an exciting opportunity for a Cost Analyst to join the team. The Cost Analyst is required to facilitate the efficient and effective analysis of Maintenance & Engineering Service (MES) cost information with particular emphasis on delivering Cost Captureand supporting with Unit Rate cost setting.The information collected and processed is essential to Anglian Water for future capital cost modelling and business planning for future AMP Business plans. Cost Capture is also used to monitor the efficient delivery of capital schemes. C55 Target Costsand Unit Rates are an essential component of the Totex Delivery Workflow and allow for more accurate cost and capital programme forecastingWhat will you be doing

  • Managing MES Cost Capture data in a timely and accurate manner for all named and bulk capital parcel outputs and projects, in MES, for both Water and Water Recycling
  • Coach and work closely with the Local Delivery Teams and Commercial Team to ensure the teams support the Cost Capture process and help make it efficient
  • Monitor and deliver relevant updates to parcel job cost capture ensuring data integrity and timeliness to allow for more accurate cost models utilised in decision making in both the Water and Water Recycling Business Streams
  • Be the MES expert user of corporate data systems such as Asset+, M2i, SAP, Power Bi etc.
  • Analyse, report and action data entry performance on corporate systems. Produce standard periodic performance reports.

What does it take to be a Cost Analyst
  • GCSE level, minimum English and Mathematics
  • Strong organisational and administration abilities
  • Experience of SAP and Power Bi
  • Computer Literate in Microsoft Office Applications
  • Excellent communication skills (written & verbal)
  • Excellent data handling skills, use of corporate Web database system and spread sheets
  • Attention to detail
  • Analytical skills
  • Experienced manipulator of different data sets including performance data
  • Ability to develop and maintain effective data management
  • Ability to effectively communicate at all levels
