Purchase Ledger ClerkPlymouth, Devon£24,000 - £26,000 per annumOur client, a successful commercial business, based on the outskirts of Plymouth, is currently seeking an experienced Purchase Ledger Clerk to join their team on a full-time permanent basis.Reporting to the Financial Controller, the Purchase Ledger Clerk is responsible for managing the company cash and banking operations, ensuring accuracy in transactions and account management. Youll handle purchase ledger transactions, oversee staff overtimeand expenses, and resolve purchasing and payment queries promptly.The responsibilities:* Manage daily cash and bank transactions, prepare monthly reconciliations, and handle month-end journal preparations.* Coordinate with suppliers for invoices, credit notes, and payments, ensuring prompt responses to queries.* Reconcile daily stock reports and process purchase ledger transactions and supplier payments.* Monthly reconciliation of suppliers statements and intercompany invoices.* Address phone queries, process credit card payments, and handle staff overtime and expense requests.* Ensure management approval and timely submission to Payroll & HR Support Manager.* Provide assistance across different areas of the accounts department as needed.The candidate:* Experience in accounts, especially in purchase ledger processing and cash/bank management.* Proficiency in accounting software like Sage, demonstrating computer literacy.* Prior involvement in processing foreign currency transactions and handling foreign exchange differences.* Strong accuracy in preparing, processing, and reporting financial information.* Excellent literacy and numeracy skills.If you would like to know more about this Purchase Ledger Clerk opportunity, please get in touch with Rachel Dawson, here at Lloyd Barnes Accountancy Recruitment.Ref: 14852
