Job Description

Are you a P6 Planner in the North West looking to take on a new challengeI am working with a proven civil engineering contractor who is looking for an individual to plan a portfolio of Civil Engineering projects in the North of England. The role involves effective portfolio planning and programming of several schemes across a frameworkor contract. As the project Planner, you will report to the Project Manager ensuring that all planning procedures are implemented in accordance with programme strategy and client governance frameworks.Responsibilities:

  • Plan projects and ensure they are programmed to a level of detail necessary for the site team to deliver the scheme without delays
  • Ensuring the review of progress, forward planning, and lookahead programmes are carried out
  • Identifying risks
  • Develop and maintain detailed project plans using Primavera P6, ensuring alignment with overall project objectives and timelines
  • Ensure effective communication and collaboration between project teams, stakeholders, and external partners to assist with project planning and execution
  • Provide expert planning support and guidance on NEC contract requirements
  • Attend site visits and stakeholder meetings to monitor progress and resolve issues.

The ideal candidate will have:
  • Ability to display previous experience gained in a similar role
  • A degree or certificate in Civil Engineering or Construction Management
  • A UK driving license
  • Expert knowledge in P6
