Job Description

West London based commodity trading and environmental transition firmDescriptionSenior Sales Executive (Power, Gas & Carbon)

  • Cultivate and sustain client relationships, perform market research, and carry out trades.
  • Engage in market research and analysis of the UK/European environmental sectors, pinpointing potential clients, market trends, and trading prospects.
  • Develop and maintain client connections by offering timely and accurate market updates, research insights, and product details.
  • Work with the sales team to prepare sales materials, presentations, and proposals for client meetings and pitches.
  • Actively take part in sales meetings and client calls, ensuring follow-up on action items as necessary.
  • Assist in executing trade transactions, including purchase and sale agreements, while ensuring compliance with relevant regulations and internal policies.
  • Stay updated on emerging technologies, innovations, and sustainable finance initiatives within Europe to identify potential growth and differentiation opportunities for the company.
ProfileFinancial Services
  • Bachelors degree in finance, economics, environmental science, or a related discipline.
  • Over 4 years of experience in front office roles within commodity sales, trading, or similar environments.
  • A strong interest in environmental markets, sustainability, and climate change issues, with a particular focus on the UK/European markets.
  • Excellent analytical skills, with the ability to interpret data and market trends.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills to establish and maintain relationships with clients and internal stakeholders.
