Our customer-centric approach ensuresreliability, responsiveness, and excellence.We stay at the forefront of technology, offering cutting-edge solutions and fostering a collaborative work environment that values innovation.Overview:We are looking to recruit a 1st Line Support Engineer Apprentice to join our busy team in Rotherham.The successful candidate will be responsible for providing telephone and remote 1st line support, and eventually to provide site-based installation of both hardware and software.Learning will be on the job.Key Responsibilities: [will consist of:]Technical Support:

  • Provide technical support to both internal and external customers through various communication channels.
  • Establish and diagnose ICT problems/faults using appropriate troubleshooting methodologies and tools.
Communication and Customer Service:
  • Communicate effectively with stakeholders at all levels, guiding them through steps to resolve issues or set up systems.
  • Prioritize IT issues in response to customer service level agreements.
Installation and Configuration:
  • Install and configure software and hardware, including mobile apps, printers, projectors, scanners, and cameras.
  • Support the roll-out of upgrades or new systems and applications.
  • Administer mobile devices on the network and configure network devices such as switches and routers.

Possession of a full UK driver’s license or commitment to pass the test within the year is advantageous.Entry requirements:
  • 3 GCSEs (or equivalent) at grades 4+ (A-C) in any subject
  • GCSE Maths and English (or equivalents) at grades 3+ (D or above)
  • Prospective apprentices must not hold an existing qualification at the same or higher level as this apprenticeship is in a similar subject
You may also have a combination of qualifications and experience which demonstrate the minimum foundation needed for the programme.
