Job Description

Teaching Assistant Location: Royston, Hertfordshire Position Type: Full-Time Start Date: September 2024 No filling out application forms!Prospero Teaching is seeking enthusiastic and dedicated Teaching Assistant to come and work under our agency. This school is rated Outstanding by Ofsted. If you have a passion for education and a desire to support students in their learning journey, wewant to hear from you!AS A TEACHING ASSISTANT YOU WILL:

Support classroom teachers in delivering engaging and effective lessons.
Work one-on-one or in small groups with students to provide tailored assistance.
Help manage classroom behaviour and create a positive learning environment.
Assist with administrative tasks and preparation of teaching materials.
Encourage and motivate students to achieve their full potential.

THE RIGHT TEACHING ASSISTANT WILL HAVE:

The ability to build good relationships with children and colleagues.
Commitment to equal opportunities.
The ability to work effectively as part of a team but also to use your own initiative.
Good organisational and time-management skills.
Patience, a positive outlook and a great sense of humour.
Excellent communication skills, including high levels of spoken and written Standard English.

THE SUCCESSFUL TEACHING ASSISTANT WILL HAVE THE FOLLOWING:

Previous experience as a Teaching Assistant or in a similar role is desirable but not essential. Training will be provided for the right candidate.
A minimum of GCSEs in Maths and English (or equivalent). Additional relevant qualifications are a plus.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills, patience, and a genuine interest in education.
Eligibility to work in the UK.
Salary paid to scale - £90-£100 per day Fringe pay, depending on experience.
