Aspire People is seeking a dedicated and compassionate 1:1 Year 5 Teaching Assistant to join a vibrant school in Rugby on a one-year fixed contract. This role is specifically to support a student with autistic needs, providing tailored assistance bothin and outside of the classroom to ensure their educational and personal development.Key Responsibilities:Provide 1:1 support to a Year 5 student with autism, adapting learning materials and activities to meet their individual needs.Assist the student with daily tasks, both academic and non-academic, to foster independence and confidence.Implement strategies and interventions to support the students social, emotional, and educational development.Work closely with the classroom teacher, SENCO, and other staff to create a supportive and inclusive learning environment.Monitor and record the students progress, providing regular feedback to teachers and parents.Ensure the students safety and well-being at all times during school hours.Requirements:Must have previous experience working with Special Educational Needs (SEN), ideally in a 1:1 setting.Ideally possess a Level 2 or Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification.Enhanced DBS check on the update service is required.Strong communication, empathy, and patience.
